Good news for anyone going to London for New Year's with EF College Break. EFCB has partnered with Ministry of Sound to get travelers an awesome deal for the club’s big New Year’s party. Give the EFCB office a call or chat for details, but the basics are you get VIP access to the club, a couple drinks, a shirt, a CD, and a ride home. If you're not yet signed up for a New Year's London trip, you can do that here or here.
Ministry of Sound is one of the top clubs on the planet. DJ Magazine put it at #6 on its Top 100 clubs in the world this year. (If #6 isn't good enough for you, you’re way more hardcore into the club scene than I am.) There’s also an associated record label, and really an entire enterprise (complete with clothing line, camping gear, electronics and vodka), but for today I’m just thinking about the club. Because that’s where EFCB people will be celebrating New Year’s 2013 in a couple of months. And that sounds extremely fun.
The club (officially known as Ministry of Sound London) opened in 1991, and they regularly get the best DJs in the world. The venue has five main areas: the Bar, the Baby Box, the VIP, the Loft and the Box. The Box houses the club’s main sound system. It has a specially-designed roof that contains sound and a special springy floor that is designed to let people dance all night without getting tired. That’s science put to good use.
Needless to say, it sounds like an awesome place to spend New Year’s this year.
